team who became the first Tiger team to qualify for
Nationals this year. They finished 2nd in the region and
earned a trip to Disney this summer. GREAT JOB GIRLS and

AAU Rule Change...
In early October 2007, AAU changed their age determination cut off date from January 1st to July 1st.
They moved the date back six months in an Attempt to "allow girls with the early birth dates in a
class to compete with other girls in the same class." The idea being that 6th graders play with
6th graders, 7th graders play with 7th graders, etc. The Board decided on the following
format for the upcoming season:
1. Beginning in the 2009 season ALL NEW PLAYERS will play at their age appropriate level according
8/u - Born on or after - July 1, 1998
9/u - Born on or after - July 1, 1997
10/u - Born on or after - July 1, 1996
11/u - Born on or after - July 1, 1995
12/u - Born on or after - July 1, 1994
13/u - Born on or after - July 1, 1993
14/u - Born on or after - July 1, 1992
15/u - Born on or after - July 1, 1991
16/u Jr. Eligible - Born on or after - January 1, 1990 - No Change
Open - Born on or after - July 1, 1988
